General description: We are interested in elucidating the importance of ubiquitin and UbL post-translational modifications in basic biological processes. In particular, we aim to better clarify the implication of the subversion of this post-translational regulatory mechanism in cancer. To reach these objectives, we will use the integration of both in vitro and in vivo model systems with high-throughput screening approaches including cDNA-, oligo- and tissue- microarrays. Role in RUBICON: I will be involved in the characterization of ubiquitin and UbL post-translational modifications in human cancer. This activity includes experimental design of high-throughput screening analyses, case-selection, quality control, retrieval of clinicopathological data, expression data analysis and correlation with clinicopathological parameters.
