General description: Endoplasmatic reticulum (ER) associated protein degradation removes aberrant proteins from the secretory pathway of eukaryotic cells. The aim of my work is the identification of components involved in this process and the characterization of their function. In this course genetic as well as biochemical methods will be applied.
Role in RUBICON:
As a senior Post-Doc in Dr. Sommer's I will assist Dr. Sommer in the training of new members of the laboratory.
