General description: PhD (2000) in the group of V. Doye (Paris) devoted to studies on nuclear pore complexes and nucleocytoplasmic transport. Has shown that nuclear pore complexes are very dynamic structures. Identified a new subcomplex of nucleoporins in yeast and its ortholog in mammalian cells. Joined RHT's laboratory in 2000. Identified within EUROFAN project new proteins involved in the secretory pathway (v-SNARE Use1p) and Golgi to vacuolar pathway (Vps55p). Present investigations devoted to deciphering the role of ubiquitin, ubiquitin-binding proteins and Rsp5 on Golgi to vacuole trafficking of siderophore transporters.
Role in RUBICON:
Will develop studies on the role of ubiquitylation./deubiquitylation events, enzymes associated, and ubiquitin binding proteins on the trafficking of siderophore plasma membrane transporters that undergo substrate-regulated Golgi to vacuole sorting, or Golgi to plasma membrane trafficking.
