SME: Drug Discovery Factory (»Add to Infobox)

General description: Drug Discovery Factory (DDF) is able to find and select the most attractive drug targets at the leading University Hospitals in The Netherlands and selected research institutions in other countries. DDF plans and manages drug discovery programs for such targets in collaboration with its partners that are service providers to the pharmaceutical industry and specialize in a specific step in the drug discovery process. DDF is able to perform world-class drug discovery as a “virtual pharmaceutical company”. The sharing of risk and return with its partner companies allows DDF to do so at very low cost. Potential drugs will be out licensed to the pharmaceutical industry right before the start of large scale clinical testing.
