General description: The University of Stuttgart offers a multitude of study subjects in Engineering, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Language and Cultural Sciences, Business and Social Scienes as well as a variety of international courses of studies. According to its strong roots in Engineering, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, a major view of the University focusses on technology. The Biological Scienes are embedded within the fields of Chemistry, Technical Biology and Physics. The Institute of Biochemistry is part of the Faculty of Chemistry and at the same time partner of the Faculty of Biology. It recruits its students for research from both faculties.
