General description: Véronique Ziegler-Graff is an independent researcher in the department of Virology at IBMP-CNRS. After her PhD (obtained at the University of Strasbourg in 1987), she worked for two years as a postdoc in Dr. David Baulcombe's laboratory at the PBI in Cambridge (GB) on virus movement. In 1989, she joined the IBMP-CNRS and started to unravel molecular aspects of the viral cycle viruses belonging to the Luteoviridae family. Her main contributions were on agroinfection and aphid transmission, leading to publications in international journals (EMBO, PNAS, Journal of Virology, MPMI…). More recently she became involved in plant RNA Interference, discovering a new type of viral suppressor of gene silencing. During these years, she gained wide experience in plant molecular virology.
